About

Welcome to All Creatures!

All Creatures Veterinary Care was founded twenty years ago. We are a compassionate and experienced veterinary clinic. We care about pets as well as their owners. We strive to deliver the most up-to-date and progressive medicine and surgery. We treat everyone that comes in the door like a friend. We promise to always be honest with you about your pet’s welfare. We strive to be efficient and cost effective but not at the expense of quality. We view pet healthcare as a team approach and you are the most vital team member. We are the other half of the team, addressing and insuring that your pet is living a long, pain-free, comfortable and happy life. We strive to treat the whole pet and not just one issue. For example, if your pet has a skin issue and during examination we find a bad tooth, we will discuss all findings and options with you. We feel it is a great honor that you have chosen us to be able to take care of and love your pets like you do. We are trustworthy and practice excellent, quality medicine. Every member of our team truly enjoys coming to work every day. Meet our team below. We look forward to meeting you and your family of fur, feathered and scaled children.

I have one beautiful daughter who is starting her junior year in University. I own dogs cats birds and fish. My hobbies are running, mountain bike riding, stand up paddle boarding, out rigger canoeing, scuba diving, skiing and travel. I love to work out and enjoy sneaking out to go to the gym. I have lived in Tahoe since 1994 and I was born and raised in LA.
~Lesley Hawkins, LVT~
Hospital Manager
Hi! My name is Lesley. I am the Hospital Manager. I love my job and my crew here at All Creatures. I have been in the field of veterinary medicine for close to 20 years. I started out working at a rural clinic in southern Georgia before moving back to Reno in 2003. I was part of the first graduating class of TMCC’s Veterinary Technician Program in 2005 and have been licensed in the state of Nevada since then. As a licensed technician, just like a veterinarian, we have to attend continuing education courses every year to keep our licenses current. This is great because I love to learn. I also enjoy cooking, board games, hiking, local theatre, live music and many other incredible things Reno has to offer. I am owned by 3 dogs, 2 goats, 21 chickens and a tank full of fish. I look forward to meeting you and all of the creatures that you call family.
~Debbie Urrutia~
Kennnel Manager
Debbie is a fourth generation Nevadan, having lived in Reno all of her life. She spent a number of years working in the medical field, primarily in gastroenterology. Debbie raised four children in a house full of creatures of all kinds. Animals have always held a very special place in her heart, and she hopes to make the animals of our clients at All Creatures feel loved and welcome.
~Catherine Bleskey~
Pet Care Coordinator
Catherine was born and raised in a small town in California. She grew up in a household full of small animals and came to realize her love for them at an early age. Her fascination with science and passion for animals led her to study veterinary medicine at the University of Nevada, Reno. After attending UNR she hopes to move on to grad school to work with small animals and exotics. Through her experience at All Creatures, she has come to realize how much she enjoys working with the families and pets that come for care at our hospital. She hopes that her time spent at All Creatures Veterinary Hospital will expand her knowledge on animals as well as show how much she cares for all kinds of creatures.
~Tiffany Harvey~
Pet Care Coordinator
Born and raised here in Reno, NV. Tiffany found a love for all animals and finally found a way to put all that love to good use. After getting her certificate for veterinary assisting she found that she wanted to advance further into this career field and is studying to get her veterinary technician degree. Having love for her own four-legged animal, Ariel, she also has love for her two-legged human, Nathen. Tiffany will always give a voice to those that cannot speak for themselves.

~Mindy Hecklin~
Groomer
Groomer Mindy is a California native. She discovered her love of animals early on in life. Her mother worked at Lion Country Safari during much of her childhood. “The great thing about growing up like that is you learn early on how deep animals enrich your life.” She has practiced her trade for well over a decade. You can routinely see her expert grooming in dog shows around the country and in the homes and yards of her loyal clientele. She is a groomer by trade, but truly an animal lover at heart.
